Lol at this. I guess they've only heard the HD800 and lower models.

In other news, I didn't know there was a thread on these. I love these cans. They're like the SA5000/K701 mixed with the HD650. They're very colored and musical and open. Comfort is amazing. I haven't had cans this light since I had a pair of Sennheiser HD590s. Great little can to leave on my desk!

Haha nice comment! But how do they compare in terms of details especially compared to the SA5k and 701s

Yeah, I'd say these are extremely underrated. Pretty sure I'd take them over the AD900 and HD598 -- two of my favorites.

I just hope Sony continues the "F1 styled" series in the future, perhaps a better build version. MA1000?

He does hs comparisons from a DAP or some portable source iirc,. so it has to be taken in this context, personally i find them easily comparable with the AT900 as i wrote in some detail. I find them even more enjoyable since then... even more than thre F1 for most of my music. :)

Yeah, after some brain-in i'd rate the sound highr than comfort level. Very nicely balanced, except the sub-bass qnd mild high treble rolloff the rest of the spectrum has a good presense and it's charcther very fluid, like an improved at-ad900 imo.

Not sure if anyone saw this:

I wonder if it'll ever drop down in price to Q701 and HD-598 levels..

I'm not sure why, but there is two graphs listed in different areas. This one looks better:

If you're lookin' for a deal, Katun is selling his for only $169 (as well as a Sony F1 for the same price).  Only a couple hours of use he says...

$169 is a good price, also (I know this is OT) - the "wire" thing on the F1 is normal. How did they stack up to the MA900, Katun?

The MA900's sound like a modern driver if that makes sense. More fleshed out than the F1. Pretty close in sound though. Comfort goes to MA900.

Is the comparison to the PX100-II an inside joke or are you being serious?

Totally serious.

LOL Katun, why does everyone always think you're kidding about this?

Probably because they're $50? Beats me.

Oh but people have no problem spoodging over $7 Monoprice IEMs?  LOL, just saying (rhetorically).  Why is it so hard to believe that Sennheiser can also make giant killas?

Woah, have you actually heard the PX100-II for yourself? For $50 it's a great little headphone, a mainstay portable for me. Personally,I enjoyed the tonality of the px100 over the dt990's, hfi2200, and the hd25's.
