What do the options relate to on AE?

m, l, s.

Medium, large, small I'm guessing? What size would you recommend?

Do you build a lot of earphones? If not, it may not make sense to buy 50. Of the metal clips.

I pulled them off of old earphones for years and reused them, as they bend very easily. It wasn’t until I started building larger qty of headphones and earphones that I invested in the metal clips.

There are other things you can use that don’t cost anything. A piece of string tied tightly into a knot works just as well. So does a 1.8mm wire tie.

Sony MH750 and mH755 arrived and they are both genuine.

They are both from rwtf3024 on ebay. I now have 2 pairs of the MH755 now.

Late to the party, but receive a pair of 755 today and I'm blown away. I have a few pair of backup on the way to distribute among friends.

Been reading this thread for the last 2 hour and collecting pointers on recable, MMCX and stuffs.

However if I'm being brutal the vocal seems a little recess with original tips. And it lacks top airs.

Is there anyone who feels the same as me (recess vocal) and found acceptable mod? I will recable as soon as I have backup pair and will take that opportunity to try mods and suchs.

I have tried spiral dots, SpinFit, acoustune (white) and various random tips. SpinFit is quite nice IMO.

Most of the mids and even lows are slightly recessed, except for the lowest sub frequencies. That includes most of the voice range. Mods don't really fix that but EQ can. I posted my preferred setting in post #615 if you want to try it.

Thanks I will give it a try.

Got my Ry copper cable at last. It's not bad - flexible, soft and below 0.4ohm. But has some noticable microphonics.

So far I have had some microphonics with all the cables we have tried. I think the shell causes it.

hey guys, lately I have compared some of modified mh755 and I have noticed that the silver cables make important changes in the sound, I am not sure why but one of my mh755 with generic cable sounds more "veiled" and the bass is more prominent compared to the silver wire, perhaps because of the thickness of the wire? I'm not sure but I prefer it much more with the silver wire.
Has anyone tried different cables to verify this?

Yes. Most (if not all) cable-down IEMs will have cable noise.

It can be reduced by using a shirt clip. It can be eliminated by wearing them up and behind the ears.

For fellow Aussies, I bought 2 pairs from Simplecom for $6.95 AUD each ($4.70 USD) and they're definitely real just based on sound alone. But to confirm, I did crack one open with my fingernail and the solder-points are proper.

I honestly don't know why I bothered buying any of the KZ budget line stuff. I enjoy my MH1c and the MH755 much more than the ZSN Pro (harsh treble just makes it intolerable for long listening sessions).

I will live with the microphonics.
