I've been lately doing some intuitive window shopping for some monitoring cans for my  home studio and I've seen something very peculiar.....

so see these headphones:

presonus HD7

Samson Sr850

Superlux HD681

So are these just K240's with different name brands slapped on them? Does AKG have some sort of MF deal going on? I know there are more copycats out there too...

aside from my theory, may you post your copycat findings as well?

wow, I was totally about to ask the same question today.  I know that the AKG K240 is very popular in studios, and those companies making similar products are also studio audio equipment manufacturers.

If it's an exact copy I want to buy one!! XD

Guys, the Superlux has been discussed on this forum various times. It clones the AKG housing but has entirely different drivers. Same for the others.

The M-Audios are real UEs, just OEM. They had a triple.fi and super.fi 5 EB, too.
