Hi!
I'm a foreign newbie in headphones, so please be nice to me!
After going mad at my Skullcandy FMJ's comfort, I decided to order a new pair of IEM's.
I did some reading on the net, and found the Klipsch Image S4i as an worthy alternative. (Good bonus is the remote!)
However, I did find what looks to me an really good deal at Adorama - the Klipsch Custom 3, for 99 dollars!
They got good reviews here on the forum, but every reviewer complained on one thing - the Cord.
Quoted from the Multi-IEM Review;
"Microphonics (2.5/5) – Unpleasant despite these being worn over-the-ear and having a ‘memory wire’ configuration"
Now I'm worried if this little "caveat" will bother me as much as it did for the reviewers. As you might have understood, I'm a real noobie in the headphone and music world, I do however enjoy listening to lossless music through my surround setup. (HarmanKardon/Infinity-combo.)
The minimal step up in price to the Custom-3's from the S4's doesn't bother me. I just wonder how noticeable the cord-problem is in real life, for a person who hasn't ever tried any super-duper expensive phones before. (I do of course realize that I will need to take extra care of the cable as it easily kinks.)
Please share your ideas!
