Yes, but i imagine how this HA5050H would be wonderful with a W3000...

Is there a European release date/price for this excellent kit?

I fear the price in Europe. Audio Technica is usually very expensive in Europe in comparison with asian or american prices.

Probably worth looking at importing then, as the voltage is easily swapped over. Just got to avoid the punitive import taxes somehow.

I was going to purchase a Schiit Bifrost Uber and Valhalla 2, but being a Audio Technica fan (only cheated on them with the Phillips X1) this is definitely at the top of my list.

Me too when I have the budget.

According to AT, launch date estimated 2nd or 3rd quarter this year. Price wise, not much indication, I heard probably around $ 5k-6k. Price is not confirm yet.

have you heard your cans with the Oppo HA-1? interested to know if they are comparable..

Unfortunately no. I heard HA-1 only for a brief moment in a meet, with Oppo PM-1. And it was like half a year ago, so I cannot say much of the comparison. What I remember from HA-1 and PM-1 brief test, they were not as refined as HA5050H with my other headphones. I did try Oppo PM-2 on HA5050H, but was not really impressed with the tonality, PM-2 is rather lacking in low bass extension. Comparing with my HE5-LE, I still prefer HE5-LE.
