Snapped the connector on my HD 238's. Should I repair or just get some better headphones?

So long story short i snapped the connector for my 238's and now they do not work. Should I try to repair it (and how would I do this) or should I just get a better pair of headphones? Price range is around $100.

You might put a thread in the DIY section to see if anyone has re-cabled their HD238, and might be able to do that for you -- most Senn full size phones are easy to get into.

Breaking the jack is not that easy to do, so however you did that, you definitely want to avoid that in the future!

I was looking around and saw that you need some things to fix it that I don't have. So got any suggestions on any good portable headphones that are better than my 238's and don't leak sound in my price range?
