Single most expensive piece of audio equipment you own?

The iBuds are the most expensive piece of audio equipment I was given. They came 'free' with my iPod, but made me so unhappy I spent literally thousands of dollars trying to find decent headphones.

That would be my speakers! MBL 101E.

Don't want to say what I paid for them but they now retail for $60k. After that, the next most expensive things were my MBL amps, then the MBL front end, then the MBL preamp. Each of those 4 purchases were made one at a time over a 2 1/2 year period because there was no way I could sallow it all in one gulp. None of my headphone stuff even comes close, including the HE90/HEV90 purchase or the SDS-XLR.

You have those?! I was always in awe looking at them in the Audio mags. Never had the chance to hear them. Wow, it bet they're totally invisible in a room (sonically). For the uninitiated.

Me, awe my little KEF 103.2 were about $1100. Nice little speakers, but I'm thinking about putting my Snell JII back into rotation for some slam.

No idea. None of my stuff is worth much, but good luck finding it in better condition... to me, that makes it rather priceless.

Ya, but mine are the black and gold version. This pic was taken before the MBL front end was in place.

They really are pretty much invisible, although I'd love it if my room was wider. It's about 15' wide by 35' deep with 10' ceilings. Ideally, I'd like to build a dedicated a/v room of about 35' L x 25' W x 15 H, but that may never happen.

Those are awesome speakers and worth at least 3 times the asking price IMO.

Yea they sound great to my ears, I just wish I had a bigger room for them. I'm lucky I was able to get them discounted at a going out of business sale.
