The second Singapore Head-Fi get-together (meet) is held today, 8th of December 2013, I've taken some photos during the meet, ranging from desktop amps to portable dap. The meet was a successful one, with overwhelming response. Please bare with me, as the photos taken isn't professional. Enjoy!

Some impressions of the meet:

Modded Fostex T50RP with 3 channel Beta22
Nice dark, warm signature that's still detailed with good soundstaging. Playing Eva Cassidy's Live in Blues Alley, this combination showed off her powerful voice with aplomb. I had heard the Fostex before driven on portable amps, and the Beta22 really takes it to another level

Shure SRH1540 with iBasso DX50
I was told the Shure had only a few days of burn it, but I found them quite enjoyable. Compared to the earlier SRH840, the newer model delivers more powerful and deeper bass with a bit more extended treble. Midrange is about comparable between the Shures.

McIntosh D100 with Sennheiser HD800
I completely didn't expect something of this level to show up at the meet. Packing USB and other digital inputs, preamp function, multiple outputs and a headphone jack, this is a really flexible all-in-one device. And when I plugged in my HD800s, I was struck by the high level of detail and transparency. I only had a few minutes with it playing Jazz at the Pawnshop, but the sheer resolution and liquidity is stuck in my mind.

Hifiman HE-6 and Woo Audio WA22
When I saw someone plugging in an HE-6 into my WA22, my first thought was "No, no way the Woo can drive that thing with low-gain tubes." The WA22 had GEC 6AS7 power tubes with Psvane CV-181T and 596 rectifier, not the more powerful 5998 or 7236. In fact, the volume knob had to be cranked to past 5 o'clock to be at above listening level in a noisy room. But I was floored that the end result was on par with my HD800 in terms of detail retrieval, imaging, speed and tone. There was no clipping and no distortion. Treble was a bit silker than the HD800 and the bass a bit meatier as well. The Hifiman's owner was also surprised at how good this combination sounded, and if this is what the HE-6 is capable of on a so called unsuitable amp, then I'd love to hear a properly-amped HE6.

Other stuff:
Many thanks to alamakazam for organising this meet, as well as all attendees for making this meet a success!

Beside audio stuff, the meet also had elements of Camera-fi - there was a Nikon D800E with 50mm f/1.2 AIS, Canon 5D Mk.II with 50mm f/1.2L and Leica M8 with 50mm Summilux - and Watch-fi - a Rolex Datejust(?), a Panerai Luminor Marina "Fu" PAM366 and a Grand Seiko Hi-beat. It goes to show that while we were united by audio, we also share many hobbies together.

Hi, I didn't ask how much the McIntosh costs, but I believe it's available at Ong Radio, The Centerpoint, Orchard Road.

Need to get an admin here to truncate these quotes haha.

Really comprehensive work OP!  How well do you think the McIntosh holds up its retail value?

Picture 'quoted'

Pretty sure they are Audio Technica ATH CK100's rather than Final Audio IEM's. Best ever production cable? Quite possibly.

Meet looks great by the way! Loads of tasty gear on display. Im considering attending the next London one when its on.
