As mentioned earlier, it was really liquid and transparent with the HD800. Sorry I can't go into more detail, as I didn't spend much time with it. But I'd say it's definitely worth the money.

The W5000 were simply outstanding with female vocals. A shootout between the W5000, W3000 and AD1000PRM proved that the W5000 were still king. I'm still kicking myself for not bringing my AD2000 for a 4-way shootout.

I think the w5000 is really a hit or miss. Heard the w5000+ha5000 combo and really don't like it...

That's what I'm worried about, and tbh the W1000x is simmilar with amps. WIth the wrong amp it sounds a little to thin and sterile

W5000+HA5000 is the official combo, so I suppose the "synergy" thing shouldn't be too bad... but there is some weird coloration that I don't like.

The combo don't really sound bad or low quality to me, just.. weird.

There are some cans out there that I don't like and would just say they sound bad, like LCD2, ED8 etc, but W5000 isn't in this category.

Meh I really need to make it to a meet and hear it my self.

Although I still want to recable my W1000x before I sell it off

  Picture 'quoted'

Pretty sure they are Audio Technica ATH CK100's rather than Final Audio IEM's. Best ever production cable? Quite possibly.

Meet looks great by the way! Loads of tasty gear on display. Im considering attending the next London one when its on.
