I just got a pair of Shure SRH440's a couple of weeks ago, and have been enjoying the way they sound, but find the headband a little uncomfortable across the top of my head.  I was wondering if anyone knew of an easy way to mod the headband or add some padding to make it a little softer.

I had the same problem with mine, basically I cut the toe off an old sock and taped it around the headband. Looked stupid but was much more comfortable.

I've made a minor improvement.  I've got a couple of pieces of a 12 oz can Koozie tied to the headband.  I really want to find a little piece of memory foam, and make a nice pad.  Hopefully I can find a little piece somewhere.

I've added the HD-580 headband pad to the underside of the headband of my 440's/  Huge improvement.  Highly recommended to anyone who has a pair of 440's.
