  Well, there is this comment...

Nice. I'm still doubting about pulling the trigger. It's alot of money. Currently using the Shure SE535.

Same here...can't decide given all the choices at that pricepoint.

Well, as mentioned before, any IEM at this pricepoint is likely to be excellent. A matter of determining what best meets your needs and preferences. As opposed to CIEMs, with universals there is the possibility to audition. Either from local sellers or online sellers with a solid return policy.

I just got mine today... Wonderful IEM's.  Much better than my ole IE8's  Closer to my HD800's.

Going through my HD tracks and reference stuff... Complicated passages in large orchestral movements are stunningly clear...

Never looking back.  they SHURE are the best.. LOL

Comparing Earphones and Headphones is a little like comparing say a Bus to a Truck.
They are both methods of transport but go about it in different ways.

If you want the in ear experience coupled with a neat portable rig then IEMs are the way. And Shure 846 are amongst the best.
If you want to relax in your armchair listening to your home  hifi at night with a glass of single malt then you cannot beat
Grado PS1000.

Thanks for all the responses. I have an other question before I might buy them. I read that the early batch had production faults. Is it better to wait a few months and then buy it to avoid risking receiving one of these faulty units? Or is it safe to buy one now?

Manufacturing date is on the box.  Basically no chance of getting an original batch at this point.  Mine was made in late November 2013, bought in early January 2014.

Getting my custom ear molds made now. Decided to go to an audiologist.
