Hello everyone. i'm very interested se846 at last time. I'm heard them at local store and it's fu...n amazing. I've got se425, but it's sooooooo different feelings with 846 :) But... It's not newest model. Are them worth it in 2019? Or something newer around 1000$ will be better? Thanks.

Well if you enjoy the Shure midrange with additional great bass response and better highs then the se846 are an excellent choice. But. Are they worth the asking price? Probably not. I paid for mine recently around 800euros and experiencing them I believe that considering the competition these should be priced at least 30% less. Still it is a beautiful iem to have. High quality, robust sounding all arounder.

Do you have a travel case recommendation for me where the SE846 easily fits into with enough space? Preferrable some kind of padded.
I like Peli cases, the 1010 micro however looks very small. Any ideas?

I use a Pelican 1020 with the pluckout foam
Overkill? Maybe. Oh well I like it

You can. I did have another pluck foam that ran across the bottom with a 90 degree angle to put the iems in above the cable without removing them. But I wanted to add more stuff so I made this one to fit everything

or you can get the bigger pelican case like the 1040 with pluck foam and it will work just fine. It’s a little bigger though and too big for me

This was included in a previous version of the SE846, right?
The current version comes only with the left black inner case.

The Shure SE846 is still the best overall head/earphone I’ve heard or owned. I just ordered the KSE1200 so I’m excited to compare them to the king.

I did the same thing a couple months ago. Don't regret it. The KSE are a clear step up in resolution. Keep the SE846 around for when I don't feel like being analytical and want that guilty pleasure bass again.

Hope you enjoy the upgrade as I did :)
