Shure se530 vs 535
Mar 19, 2010 at 1:55 PM Post #16 of 35
I've owned the new se530 for 1.5 years, no problem whatsoever with daily use in cold temps.

Not that it matters anymore, I just sent my SE530's to get custom recased with the really nice westone ES cable (simply because I think it looks better).

Buy the cheaper se530's, and spend the extra dough getting them custom molded at InearZ . my 2 cents

And they did. SE530 has much better dynamics, soundstage, accuracy and is a lot smoother than any single or dual driver BA I've heard to date. There's very little to improve upon in the SE530 sound IMO.

Cables are still an issue with Shures for me. I bought mine in June, 2009 and just sent them back for replacement a second time. Excellent sound, but I won't buy another Shure product due to extremely poor build quality.

cant see them selling many 425's.
the 420's i tried were shocking. preferred the stock sonys from my a818.
the experience has put me off trying the 530/535

at $550 I don't see them selling too much until MSRP goes down..way down

tho i do hope it is more than just se530/420 made into a detachable..however i'll wait to find out about this minor audio tweak.

I could be wrong, but I would expect a discount on the 530's by the time the 535's come out, so if you can wait, it might be worth saving some money.

Hi guys.... I'm in The UK and spoke to shure today -26.03.2010 - they sai the se535 will be released at the end of may/start of June this year. And the rrp wil be.... Wait for it.... £469!!

Now... My question is this: are these 535's gonna be nearlly £200 better than the 530's??

I've seen the 530's for sale new for under £280 on the web!!

What do you guys think??

Also... I've got sennheiser IE6 IEM's at the moment... Not really impressed with them... Bass response is weak even pushed right into my ears with comply tips attached!!??
Will the 530's be a marked improvement??

....!

They won't be worth 200 euros(?) over the 530s.
