Shure se425: Spotty Sound Quality
Jan 3, 2012 at 7:00 PM Post #16 of 17
The is an old thread but thought I would update. My right earpiece started to cut-out intermittently and I noticed that the wires going to the ear-buds were tarnishing to blue (I have the clear model). So, I filled-out the return form and sent them in. Shure sent me a new pair. These sound a good-bit different. There is now bass present and everything is much more balanced. The difference is definitely noticeable - I must have just gotten a defective pair. Its weird because although the other pair sounded off, they didn't sound like there was anything distinctly wrong with them. But, I am much more happy now.

I used se425 and it is great. also i use scl4 now, scl4 is much clearer than se425 but se425 has more body, more base and it is definetly rock. They are completely different sound signature. It is definetly not thin-can, it has really strong bass response, i've ever seen. You may have faulty-iem. If you ask me i prefer se425 over scl4 for listening music.
