Looking for a pair of IEM that are comfy for sleeping, long flights and all around use. Sources are ipad2, iphone4, and ipod nano. Might purchase an XM4 later on to go with them. Which would you say are the most comfortable of the 3 and which sound the best?

Between the SE215 and KC3, the SE215 has a more engaging sound signature and better overall comfort IMO.

In terms of overall technical performance, the KC3 is better, and its comfort isn't far behind the SE215, but its cable microphonics is horrendous and its durability near the exit of the 3.5mm earphone jack isn't very durable.

Personally, I like the cable built onto the UM1 best, and with Shure Olives, the UM1s are on par on comfort with the SE215, and while others may disagree, I found the UM1's sound sig to be relatively unengaging VS the SE215.
