The pic is my tip on kse1500.
Made from 3 components
1. Shure stock foam tip
2. Spinfit cp145
3. Spinfit cp800

Best sound for me after many tried.

White dust filter seen in the pic is from stock black foam. It helps on treble adjustment.
You will hear black foam has less spark in compare to rubber stock tip.
One of reason comes from this filter.
Cut it off if you need more spark on black foam.
(2nd reason is diameter of tip's hole).
With dust filter, sound stage is larger than all shure stock or single flange spinfit tip.
Stock spinfit gain low and highs, so apply a dust filter is suitable.

Which you like more, KSE1200 or LCDi4?
Different flavors. One is in the ear, the other sits almost outside the ear canal. Both are great.

Which in your experience project singers a little more forward in front of your head or are both about the same? Thanks.

Let me get back to you on that. I would haphazard a guess that the i4s would tend to project a wider stage.

Thanks. I know my Shure 846 doesn’t really project much in front. The full size LCD4 a little bit in front of my nose. Never heard the LCDi4.

fully agree, I normally use i4 with iPhone (lightening plus mic) and Shure for computer. When using the likes of A&K I am using obravo eamt-1c. All the three are great

Getting a bit annoyed by the time it takes to take the earphones out and in and throwing away yellow pieces :). What other headphones have the same sound as the KSE1500? Like the very clear sound and want a pair of electroplanar or whatever it is called, the membrane, to use parallell with the KSE1500. Great if it sounds simliar, clear, perfect bass etc. Saw HD800 that is not membrane, saw Audeze but not as bright in treble and so on. I am a amateur audiophile so help is welcomed. Saw Stax is a brand but do not have $4.000 but maybe $1,500.

I've yet to hear a better, or even comparable, sounding headphone at any price or form factor. But for those times when you need something very portable, these little guys come close and would fit your budget...

Lately I’ve been experiencing hissing from the left driver so what I did was turn the amp off then on and the hissing went away. But today I did the same thing but then the hissing came back so I investigate a little and I noticed that when I tapped on the left side, the hissing noise would comes and goes. Has anyone else experienced the same issue? I’ve contacted Shure via email and waiting for their reply.

I've lost my earpieces.
The one in avatar!
:frowning2:

More bad thing killing my soul is that I dont know exactly where I drop, how I lost it, the last track I listen on. Just 2 days ago

Just received my KSE1200.

1. surprised by the slightly lower profile vs the 846, so more flush inside my ears. great!
2. needs break-in,
3. right out of iPhone X sounded ok. after an hour smoother.
4. measured the EMF radiation emission for both the amp and the KSE1500 earpieces. Very happy Shure shielded these babies to the lowest EMF readings among all my headphones. Under 1 milligauss (see photo). Under 3 mG safe. Most headphones spikes over 3 mG at peaks/

5. imaging a lot better than i imagined. Cannot say it is better than my SR009 this early.

Just out of curiosity, how similar, or different, is it to the SR009? (I own the KSE1500 but have never heard a Stax).

Just out of curiosity, how similar, or different, is it to the SR009? (I own the KSE1500 but have never heard a Stax).

The first thing after an hour of charging was to hear my iPhone X playlist consisting of Jazz at the Pawnshop, Chopin Ballads,Akina Nakamori and Momoe Yamaguchi. Piano was very clean from low (<60hz) to those easily in the 10K and beyond. The crispness with these KSE1200 was very similar to the SR009. The imaging is not as wide as the Stax but I was surprised that The Shure were not as confined as I was prepared for. It was much more open than the Shure 846.

Initially, I did hear more details from the KSE1200 with singer's lips smacks, breaths, and instruments localization than on the Stax. I think this is due to the -30db isolation. I will be trying out new tips, in the process of making the KSE1200 disappear.
