Got my shuoer singer last saturday.
Quick word: the bass filter alleviates the 3.5k peak but you can still hear the 3.5k bump when you play the tone sweep

After trying different setup, the setup gave me best result would be: bass filter+ narrow bore ear tips for even less high mids (aet08 this time) + very shallow insertion(more linear/less warmth for me)

Damn. You might be the first one to get your hands on the singer. How does it compare to the Tapes?

CE and FC certified? Sure why not. Never realized headphones bothered with that. XD

Wow, a Shuoer box that isn't an orange cylinder? But that was my favorite part!

I'm just joking, but that's pretty cool. Let's hope the QC is better on that set

Which are these Tips, the mesh look cool. Maybe I can use these tips with IE800 also, mesh on mine went missing after 5 years of use.

Looks like Ostry OS200 tips but mine haven't yellow stems.

@ErkH have you compared Tape with Singer?
I read it's a single driver, maybe Singer is cheaper than Tape

The 2kHz region is the only thing that is better on the ej07? What about stage, detail retrieval, separation and so on?

they're simply tuned differently. The graphs look like this -

The tape is v-shaped where the EJ07 is more mid-forward. You can also see the 4KHz peak is smoothed out the EJ07. I won't comment any further as I don't own both, but I will say that the response was misleading. My only assumption is that he was commenting on what he feels is a noticeable improvement between the two? I think it has a lot to do with your personal preferences though as the sound signatures will likely be quite different.

Singer is a 8mm driver and cheaper, but that doesn't necessarily tell us much does it

For anyone who's curious.

I ran high pitched white noise through the Tapes overnight and the harshness of the 3.5k bump is gone!

I kind of like now. Rock guitars pop a little more and it sounds great!

I was worried if be getting rid of them but as long as they keep working I'm happy to have them. They sound fantastic!
