There are various volume adjustment apps you can install with either widget to bring out volume control or sitting in notification bar. Also, you can get Bluetooth remote controller for playback and volume adjustments. Other than that, device is under warranty if something breaks or you can contact manufacturer for after warranty service.

Does anyone have any tips for changing the earphone modules on the M9? I attempted to take out one the other day and stopped as I felt my entire fingernail was going to come off!

Just like the M8 why not use the module remover provided?

Oh, I clearly missed that - a case of RTFM! Cheers.

On Hi-Fi show I saw person attempting to do it with his teeth.
Yes, please use the removal tool from the case with modules

Ha brilliant, thankfully I stopped short of that!
Yes just used the removal tool - very easy!
I’m still torn between getting the M9, N8ii or WM1ZM2. Hopefully I can try all three at Canjam London next weekend.

Fantastic DAP, as I'm sure n8ii and M2 are also - I suspect each of them a winner but great to actually try yourself.
If you buy TZ700 too, they look nice together
All 3 would be my recommendation, LOLI’m still torn between getting the M9, N8ii or WM1ZM2. Hopefully I can try all three at Canjam London next weekend.

Fantastic, listening right now - especially using the Shanling app in music only mode, spectacular.
I only stream and have Tidal hifi. I’ve read though that M9 has great UI for streaming. I also like the fact that M9 is supposed to have a bit of warmth to it.Fantastic, listening right now - especially using the Shanling app in music only mode, spectacular.

Anyone feels the treble in M9 is one of the best ever? It's hard to implement great treble.
