Tried this on 3MAX but everything gets upsampled to 24/192. As in your example too. It’s not the same signal path as with Roon remote on a Roon endpoint.There you go:

Oh well… Guess it’s different architecture due to having to stream remotely. I have been spending time with it on the DX312 and on the Sony M2s. No complaints. Would love to hear thoughts from @Shanling on how to get this to play on the M9.
I guess it's the same as Roon remote on Android. With the ability to use it remotely added, but still not bit perfect. I don’t recall Roon remote on android upsampling. My android devices at home. Tested on my iPhone when I was away from home.

Edit: when connected to a DAP as USB DAC it now works very well for me. Seems bit perfect. Nice!

Ah… cybersecurity concerns. Oh well… i can understand where they are coming from.
Anyway, please do let us know. I am just puzzled cos it installed with no issues and works beautifully in terms of synching with my Roon but then just cannot play…My experience is that it works great when using my iphone and a DAP as USB DAC. But it doesn’t work on the DAPs themselves. On Shanling DAPs it doesn’t play at all, and on iBasso it upsamples everything, doesn’t play bit perfect.@Shanling How are the tests going for the Roon ARK?

Roon said the intention is to have ARC work on DAPs as well. I guess they need to work with the brands to make that a reality. I hope it’s a matter of time but I’m expecting it to take a while. In the meantime I’m happy with the phone plus DAP solution.
Cayin is working on proper Roon certification for N8ii. I hope other brands will follow suit. I like how it works on my SP2K. It could be a reason to get the SP3K.

All models are AKM. Supposed to be a new version coming with a different DAC but I haven't heard anything about that yet.

And @Shanling didn't confirm that will use Sabre dac on next M9
M9 was born in limited edition with AKM4499EQ, but now AKM released a new flagship dac AKM4499EX
Maybe they could consider ROHM BD34301EKV also
