under connect of M9 (USB-c; bottom) to H2, setting on M9 USB preference to "this device", and/or "controlled device" isn't recognized by H2.
Therefore I want to know how you set M9 for playing a music with H2. (the USB-c to b- Micro adapter may be the issue cause).

M9 detects USB connection automatically. If you are getting the standard Android menu with charging, data transfer, etc, something is wrong with your connection, as this should show up only when connecting computer or Android device.

Thank you, it works now with another USB cable.

I have now factory restored the M9 using the regular method and then through system restore. No matter, the M9 will not play Roon or Plexamp. I even reflashed the latest firmware. Anyone have any ideas how to do an even lower level restore?

I could use Roon ARC without any issue,( not anymore since I moved to Audirvana Studio),
but frankly I have so much frustration with the players and feasibility on Android on M9 in general.

There are some issues with Roon on current firmware, should be fixed with next release.
Unfortunately have no details on Plexamp.

Out of curiosity, why are you looking for an old FW? I have experienced better performance with the latest one, it's not perfect though.

I liked the sound with Dita Perpetua more using 1.4 comparing to 1.6. Overall performance of UI is bother to me since I don’t use streaming or any sort of Android functionality)
