Hello, please can someone help me. The support app on my M8 doesn't work, when I try to open it, it closes automatically, it shows: "Support has stopped", and the Support app version is 1.0.

I see that the latest system version is v1.75, and mine is only 1.69. I'm trying to update it manually, already downloaded the files on the website but I can't find a way to apply the update. Help please.
Thank you for replying!
I did it so many times, it doesn't work for me, maybe I ve a corrupt firmware? As soon as I reset it, I tried opening the support app and shows the same error, Support has stopped.
Is there any way to update it without that support app?

According to our software team, this issue is most likely due to the failing memory of the player and it would have to be sent to our factory for repair.

Wow, what a beauty...and the classic Shanling rounded architecture and button placement.
Really? I think the original design is much better. Anyway, until Shanling can get their music app to be gapless and actually able to sort alphabetically, I for one will not be buying from Shanling. Good sound undone by terrible software and appalling stability :/

Is there any info about what Android version this will be shipped with ?
It is now quite common among smartphone manufacturers to provide 4 or 5 years of Android updates
If this device is not provided with Android 14 there is no chance to have a superior Android version given the past support of this brand for its devices
So within the next three or four years you will end up with one thousand six hundred dollars paperweight...
But as most of other devices from this brand this will probably sound exceptional !

I don't disagree with lack of support, but the paperweight argument is far too strong. Android devices still continue to work as they did, unless app versions no longer support them, and with that, they still function as they previously did. As an example, my Android 9 dap still has full function of Apple Music.Android 10 devices have full use of autoeq software. An Android 13 device will function just fine 6,7, or more years from now. I've been heavily into Android since the original Google G1.

Well, outdated Android IS an issue. Sure, you can use SD cards (95% of my M8 use) BUT then you're stuck with the native software and Shanling's is STILL terrible after 4 years (no gapless playback, incapable of a standard alphabetical artist sort, etc.) Lotta money to shell out for such a compromised player...
