Just a quick note to let people that are looking for good synergy for the M8 know that the pairing with Arya Organic and Lavricables Cables Grand with Furutech Rhodium plugs is IMO absolutely sublime.

I significantely prefer it to my old iBasso DX220MAX and DX300MAX - Focal Utopia - Norne Draug Silver pairing.
Ya, my Arya ver3 sounds awesome.

How do I reinstall Quobuz? I haven't installed apps in a while and I don't want to rely on APK app because of some bugs and viruses. It suggested Google play but I don't have that either, so I'm a bit lost right now. Thanks.
RE Quobuz: I had some offline files that were kept since I unsubscribed. However, when I resubscribed last week I noticed that the same tracks that were offline no longer sound the same as they sounded very compressed (bass is totally gone). This is why I deleted the app, hoping to fix the issue.

Hi,
You should have an app called APK Pure.
Launch that and update it if needed.
If it needs update, erase cache and data.
Then reboot.
And grill that app install play store
There you go Play Store to install qobuz 😆

I'll try this. When you say "grill that app install play store", what exactly is that? Appreciate the tip.
Hi,
Exactly : that is a typo from auto-correct in those stupid phones we have today...
It should read : "From that app, install Google Play Store"

Did the thing I recommend twice in the past 3 days on M6 Pro and M8 and it worked like a charm :)

Regards.

Folks - Is anyone else having issues using UAPP? Ever since the last firmware update it has been a nightmare using it. Slow, crashes all the time. Stuttering. The app works fine on my Sony Xperia phone, but not one my M8 anymore
Nothing like that, anyway I'd like to hard reset if get these issues and don't install other player apps to check performance and stability.
BTW, what is FW version?

No. The only problem I get with UAPP is that when I'm streaming my favourites on Qubus, the occasional song won't play to the end and changes to a new song. I'm using random shuffle. :beerchug:

You can use APKPure app or if you get the .apk file directly, you can install it using File browser.

Hi Shangling: Is there any chance you can increase the size of the percentage numbers when charging? It's too hard for these old :eyes: eyes to see. Hiby did it on their Hiby R6 Pro II. Makes charging so much easier. :L3000: :L3000: thank you

I was wondering..do you happen to know of any EQ app that can be downloaded from the google store to use for Qobuz? Unfortunately the player's built-in EQ only works with files within the music library.
Hi,

Ah... That question about EQ ! That is the million dollar question !
If Shanling would have included a system-wide EQ setting, like Fiio did on their R7 and R9 (that I owned for the R7 that I currently use for the R9) I would have stayed in the Shanling camp...

But from their answers and from what I see, EQ does not seem to be a priority for Shanling. Even their own Eddict software does not do PEQ, only graphic band EQ...

Anyways, if you are looking for an app that can allow to apply EQ to Qobuz streams, I think there are é options.
But one of those is really "messy"... So I'll skip it.
So what is the second one ?

Simple : use UAPP (USB Android Player Pro).
That app has an in-built Qobuz client... Not as convenient to use as the original Qobuz app, but it's "kind of OK".
The good thing is, UAPP integrates one superbly powerful EQ system... that applies to all streams.
So you could use that one :-)
I fear you'll need the paid version, but if you ask me those will be the best spent 9 dollars in your entire year
You can even use your M8 as a simple receiver and send modded streams from your smartphone to it...
QUite nice (there are only 2 apps capable of this prowess : UAPP and Neutron, but Neutron does not have a Qobuz client).

Regards.
