Shanling M8 Android Portable player

My M8 worked for 2 years, worked without complaints, now it has a new owner, he just replaced the battery and the M8 works just as well, at least I haven’t heard any complaints about the work from him.
I bought a battery for the M8, since over two years the battery degraded a little and began to hold a charge less, I bought the battery for $30 + shipping $20.
Where did you get the M8 battery? :spy::pray:

M8 opens similarly to Android phone. Use a suction cup on the back panel, ideally if you have a heat plate. It's held with a little bit of glue and plastic prongs.
Battery is glued to the back panel, with cable leading to main board, so be careful when removing the back plate to not pull out the cable.
Wonder if you have any insight into what's happening: I charged my M8 to 100% and turned it off. The next morning, when I turned it on, the battery was at 84%. Does this mean the battery is dead or dying? Is there some sort of firmware problem?

Are you sure Cato isn't screwing with you ...

Is there any way the M8’s battery can be user replaced?
Disassembly process is similar to mobile phone tear-down via vacuum heater-separator used for mobile phones
Be careful: There is wifi antenna wire soldered to back cover on the left side when removing back cover (to back side cover look). It's 2 tear-downs known to me and two wifi antenna connectors broken...
Battery is glued so should carefully remove it side by side without deformation because deformation could be critically dangerous.

Tidal still doesn't work.

Please what exact issue are you facing? We are aware of issue with MQA playback from Tidal, but it should otherwise work fine.

Apple music is a mess now. Often, the app shows the song playing, but no sound. Then you switch to another album or Qobuz and it's fine.

Please which firmware and app version are you running? Will check on it.

MQA is almost all new collection doesn’t work

Running both latest app and firmware

Hi,

Maybe I asker this already, but has anyone managed to use the M8 with OTG adapter which will allow the M8 to 1°) charge and 2°) read tracks from a USB stick at the same time ?
If so, can you send the reference of the adapter you used ?

Maybe this is not even possible ?

But I think it should be but maybe with the right adapter...
