Can't find crossfade on M8.

Crossfade in Apple Music. It's in settings in the app.

Getting new firmware found message but clicking on update now gets the message - Support keeps stopping. Pocked around online and there is a 1.68 firmware available - not had M8 long is this what it does?

I'm on 1.66, I get the message new firmware found - but when I use support to try and get it, support stops working. I poked around no mention on either the Chinese or the translated sites however I looked around more and found a Ver 1.68 but can't download it so must be new firmware due any time now - maybe.

I'm visiting my family as usual for the Christmas.
My father has a stack- Arcam CDS27 FMJ + Vincent hybrid sv 273 mk + focals speakers. But i compared his stack paired with hd660s with my Shanling M8 + Monarchs 2.
And boy oh boy.. How can i even start.
I remember when I was comparing his exact stack vs my previous portable rig which was IBasso dx300 + amp12 EXN + IBasso IT07. And it did fight but it did also lose, being more aggressive in high mids, having slightly less impactful and focused bass and having narrower stage. It had better layering tho.
Now to my actual portable rig - M8 + Monarchs Mk2 vs my father's fully speaker stack.
The M8 paired with Monarch Mk2 is more 3d, wider, more refined, richer in notes, has better bass layering. Is overall just better sounding rig. I'm shocked. Ok know that the Monarchs are an open backs in iem world bit what a signal the M8 gives, I'm actually speechless.

I think if you want to surpass the combination M 8 paired with the Monarch MKII crystal clear you have to spend a lot of money.

Thanks for the help. Turning off Crossfade fixed the problem. Now songs pay all the way to the end of the song.

Are there certain app versions that I have to load on the Shanling M8 or can all the latest versions play of Qoboz, Poweramp, Apple Music, Tidal, Hiby, etc? Thanks

The M8 + Monarch 2 combo sounds best. I know it's hard to believe but trust me. Best soundstage depth and width, best bass, same detail best timbre and sound depth. This small mother******s have top notch quality.
