M8 would be quite a bit warmer than the M6 Pro.
I think maybe the new M7 would be better follow up to the M6 pro.

If it shows only on the 4.4mm and 3.5mm works fine, it might be issue in the module. Would be best to test it with 2.5mm, to know if the issue would repeat.

Hi, try the 2.5mm today and it's even worse, gotta use the PO LO trick again but after a few songs, right channel keeps sounding smaller then muted. Can't even enjoy music normally.
Any advices to fix it?

This might be some hardware issue, as I don't think we saw such cases on the firmware.

As your M8 is fairly new, i would recommend reaching out to your seller for warranty support.

Happens to me a lot, just yesterday in fact. When the 'click' happens there is no sound and I have to pause playback, then hit play again for it to start.

I've never had this and the hottest I've recorded my device is 74.8°C. I think there may be an issue with your unit

I am searching for TOTL-level DAP to replace my Fiio M11 which is mediocre at best. Best I have heard so far is SP2000, but it so pricey. According to head fi forums Ibasso and Shanling offerings come at least close to SP2000. Thus, I am interested in DX240 and Shanling M8 (M7 too if it close or better than M8). What interests me in TOTL sources is not type of sound, but pure technicalities. Can anyone compare Ibasso dx240 vs Shanling M8 in terms of technicalities such as soundstage (realism, depth), clarity, slam, details, textured and detailed decay?

Yes. You need the cool apk app first though. The apps from there have to be downloaded in the app and installed with the apps installer

We see M7 at the similar performance level as M8, but with quite different sound tuning(with M8 being significantly warmer and relaxed).
If you care purely about technical aspects of sound, I would recommend M7.

Most international users stick with APKPure app on the M8.

Please what issue are they facing with Coolapk?
