Well, yes, but it's clean, very low distortion...It must be damn loud.....
Yes I know, my volume is only in that nrs when I listen to the 400i that are planar, I think, but is only my thoughts, that that levels in Iems is to much for hearing health, but that is just my case, I need to have my hearing has healthy has I can because my work is geophone technician, but of course it depends on the level of the recording

Not necessarily. I use: turbo gain, high gain, balanced mode. And I listen to MEST in the range of 45-60/100 (volume)- depending on the recording. So everything is related to the amount of current to drive the headphones properly.

Should I pre-order the M8 from musikteck or audio46? I've dealt with both before with no problems. MT actually has an estimated ship date but A46 has it on sale - yet they're not listed as an authorized dealer on the shanling website. I wonder if that has significance as to whether they'll be getting more stock.

I called audio46 yesterday and inquired when they'd receive theirs. He couldn't give me the "same date" that's listed on the Musictec site when I asked but he felt it would be around that date.Should I pre-order the M8 from musikteck or audio46? I was going to order at audio46 because they advertised a lower price.
Ultimately, I ordered another manufacturer's DAP from Musictec today.

I'd go with Musicteck. You could try asking Andrew to price match, they are awesome. And Shanling won't entertain warranty service if you don't get through authorized dealer btw. You could go through a46 for warranty, but post-warranty claims would be harder for you.

According to @Shanling Audio46 is an authorized USA distributor. I screen shot their statement on this thread to get myself out of a jamb, earlier this week.I'd go with Musicteck. Ohh then it’s all good then. Audio 46 seems like a reputable store as well.According to @Shanling Audio46 is an authorized USA distributor. I screen shot their statement on this thread to get myself out of a jamb, earlier this week.

Hi, could you share how Clear sounds with the M8? Other opinions about Clear/M8 combo also would be helpful. Thanks.Listen to jazz a lot of trio, progressive music, alternative, vocals, mostly. I love drums cymbal work, piano, bass, the most. Totally different taste I think and I have the exact same sound preference on M8 as you, best on high gain, turbo and normal do not sound as good. Mostly use Ely with the M8 but same for other headphone or IEMs for me, note I only have a Clear HF that is not hard to drive.

Great, in a word. The Clear is easy to drive and works well out all of the sources I have, M8 is my favorite synergy for the Clear. Order would be lowest to highest P6K UD505 P6P M8. I will need to do some more listening I have been mostly listening to Trai and Ely lately. The M8 is the warmest of the presentations of these four.Hi, could you share how Clear sounds with the M8? Price is only 1 part of what you get for your money. I have no experience with/or opinion of Audio46, but have done business with Andrew of Musicteck. Pre-sale, sale, and post-sale suppoort is excellent-- how do you put a price on peace of mind? Price is important, just always remember to ask what you get for your money, in total!
