You need to put the M8 in DAC mode. You need to swipe down to open the menu and click on the USB menu (setting it from file mode to DAC mode)

When i swipe down from the top i do not see a USB option???

Wondering wether these will fit to very low impedance IEMs like Andromeda Gold with 7Ohm.
I just tried some A&K SR25 with 1.6 Ohm and whole bass was gone.I have read somewhere that M8 is running with 2 Ohm balanced.
That would be definitely too high for such setups...

Per Shanling specs (near the bottom of https://en.shanling.com/product/390), SE is <1ohm, Balanced is <2ohm.

From my personal experience with Andro v2, I can comfortably listen to M8 balanced. With N6ii/A01 balanced was unusable for me, I had to go SE. I think DX228EX had a higher noise floor than M8 but I'll have to double check. I can't say what might happen with 7ohm golds. :)

Shanling M8 => UAPP Bit Perfect => EA Leo II Octa => VE Elysium => Xelatec tips.

This chain imho is a manifestation of pure and beautiful synergy to my ears. The Xelastec tips have emerged as my favorites as they mold to your ear canal shape so give you a quasi-custom experience balances the sound to perfection.

Yup their only downside is that sometimes they get warped but my solution to this will be to have about 3-4 sets on hand and rotate through them about a week at a time giving each pair a chance to "rest". It sounds weird but it works. They also win because the material they are made with is probably the most comfortable of all the (considerable number of) tips that I've tried.

I got a pretty decent deal on a used one. But yeah it was more than I ever thought I'd spend on a cable. It's made me a believer though.
