We are looking into this Roon ARC issue. Latest firmware adjusted how our system works with sound from some 3rd party apps (Before update, Roon would play, but completely muted), so it's possible that while we fixed it for the main Roon app, the Roon ARC now got this new issue.

Just updated my M6U to firmware version 1.3.

Tidal MAX (HiRes FLAC) quality songs now all play in silence over Bluetooth in my car.

Correction : Some Tidal HIGH quality songs are also affected and play in silence.

Wired headphone playback does not seem to be affected.

I also tested with my Galaxy S23 Ultra and it played Tidal MAX songs over Bluetooth just fine in my car.

I also noticed an increase in M6U sound quality when playing non Tidal MAX songs over Bluetooth. Not sure if that's due to Tidal updates or M6U updates, but I like it.

Where can I get the previous version (1.28?) of the M6U firmware to test?

The workaround for now is to set Downloads > Audio quality to HIGH. (I only play downloaded songs in my car)

You can still set Audio & Playback > Mobile Data Streaming and Wi-Fi Streaming to MAX.

Hi- I updated to the new firmware and since then can't seem to be able to use my bluetooth headphones anymore.
It connects fine but then can't hear any music. Any troubleshooting advice ?

Interesting that bluetooth doesn't work with tidal. I also have qobuz and no issues there. Why o why ???
I'm listening to downloaded files. I tried my Ibasso DX170 and no issues there with bt and tidal.

Update: I uninstalled Tidal and re-installed on my 6U and now it works.

Ok, so your issue is also limited just to Tidal, to Max files?

that's right but after re-installing the app bt was working again with my 5909.

@Shanling I had a HIGH file in Tidal play in silence today, so the issue is not limited to MAX songs over BT.

Also, MAX is not MQA, just HiRes FLAC.

MAX includes both Hi-Res Flac and MQA files.

The update didn't fix my slower WiFi speeds

The EQ apps work but Wavelet has a static like noise when first engaged while playing music through Apple Music and Amazon Music. I have to toggle the wavelet app on and off to get rid of the static.

However, Poweramp Equalizer also has the static but it does not go away no matter what I do. It also slows the music that's playing to where it cuts in and out in addition to the static.

I had to remove the Wavelet app as it was causing severe distortion when playing Amazon Music and Radio Paradise. Took a while to just narrow it down to the Wavelet app causing the problem.

And I'm not absolutely sure yet, but it seems the Wifi speeds are actually slower now on my M6U as compared to before.

Don’t you love spending a $1000 on a dap and then have so many issues?
I have a Cayin N7, Fiio M11S and ibasso Dx170 and never had such issues
