I just bought this device, so far it's worked quit well, my only complaint is I cannot seem to get any get any eq software to work with it. Neither Poweramp or wavelet work with it all. Which is a bit concerning considering it's a device who's only job is to play music lol

And since I am talking to the representative of the manufacturer, I would like to ask you to fix the problem with the display of Cyrillic characters in the names of artists and song lists in the new version of the software.

This is due to the way our AGLO works with the apps to avoid any re-sampling of Android, it's needed there to assure ideal sound performance on Android.
We reported these EQ apps for software team before, to check if it can be adjusted.

So you are saying android EQ apps will never work and there are no plans to make them work. They should have included an eq then since there is none and that's a pretty bad oversight for a 1000 dollar device .

I have used numerous DAP in past and never faced this problems. many iems and headphones need EQ, atleast provide a stock equaliser app or allow these apps to work. If nothing can be done atleast do let us know so we can return our devices. This player is awesome in every aspect but 2 major issues are very concerning.. 1st wifi issue and 2nd no eq app support

Same , i can't use poweramp equaliser

Yes, same here. It is pretty much useless to me for any tweaking at all. It just sits next to my chair on my table. I have thought about selling mine. It is astonishing to me that for a music player it has no real sound adjustments and lousy Wifi. I would not recommend the unit to anyone.

Hello Brian. That's too bad to hear. I am still very much enjoying the M6U, as the WiFi speed (about 75% of the actual streaming rate) isn't an issue with me, nor is the lack of EQ app compability. I simply use the Amazon HD music app with its associated EQ, as was the case with Qobuz also which I used for a short while. Battery life is very good, portability is good, and sound quality is truly amazing. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I use the USB-Audioplayer PRO (with all the paid add-ons) and also tested Neutron Music Player - both work like a charm on the M6 Ultra!
And both can do EQing much better then the Shanling Player.

I also use UAPP with the M6U, yeah its great.

Which UAPP paid add ons are particularly worth it? I've mostly been using the player in bit-perfect mode (when possible) with no EQ or anything else. And very happy with the un-EQ'd Shanling house sound. That said I am curious.

I purchased the UAPP itself (of course) and then the parametric EQ, Morphit for headphone simulation and MQA for hires decoding

Our software team is trying to solve this issue.

EQ is included in our app, EQ works in other music apps, issue is only with these "external" EQ apps.

EQ in yt music does not work at all. Just crashes yt music ap when. I try to open it. Yt music is how I primarily listen to music

Yes, I primarily listen to Apple Music and as of now do not know of anything that I can use for EQ. Power Amp worked for a while and then after the last couple of updates became so unstable I just took it off the player. I find myself just listening to music with my iPhone instead... which is kind of a waste.
