It doesn't matter what you charge. The device's electronics are protected and will only take what it can. There is nothing to fear..

Hello everybody. please tell me which device you use to charge the player.

Yes, but better use a "powerful" charging devices - I use my OnePlus 7T fast charger. :top:

Quote from Manual maybe also helpful:
Charging
Supports QC3.0*) fast charge and standard USB charging. When the USB
cable is connected, display shows battery charging icon and power
level. The status indicator lights up red while charging, it turns off when
battery is full.

*) Quick Charge 3.020163.2 or 3.6 V – 20 V in 0.2 V increments. (inconsistent sources)[19][16][20]2.6 A, or 4.6 A[19]36 W (12 V × 3 A)

Reported to software team.
Are you running it in 5G WPA2?

So far there was no fix for this from software team.
So it's been 5 months since this post and I went ahead and purchased the M6U 'assuming' this wouldn't be an issue on my network. Well it is. I am running a 5G WPA2 network using my ISPs router (Bell Canada GigaHub). Speedtest shows 400Mbps on my iPhone and iPad, but just 4 on my M6U. Streaming is impossible. Downloading terrible. What a great disappointment. I will have to return the device. Anyone know of a DAP that handles streaming seamlessly on a home network?

Really too bad about the network issues cause to me this is the goldilocks of DAP's - especially at the used prices. Plenty of power, very agreeable sound with a good balance of detail and warmth, responsive UI and excellent build quality. I know some people have been unhappy with the battery life but it hasn't really bothered me. In fact, one nice thing I noticed is that while not in use the battery hardly drains (mine was still kicking after a nearly 2-week trip to Italy). Really hope Shangling is able to remediate this deal-breaker of an issue that thankfully hasn't impacted me

I'm getting familiar with just received M6U. Trying to get connected to my NAS but getting message - User/Pwd is not correct although I'm pretty sure the login credentials are correct. Also the last few posts regarding some network issues are not making me very happy...I was going to buy an Astell&Kern DAP but a friend of mine suggested to try Shanling M6U first so I did...Well, not very optimistic start to be honest...

Thanks for feedback, will add it to our list of routers to check.

Are you using Shanling Music app? Have you tried any other app?

The Wi-Fi issue is only with few certain routers, if your M6 connects with normal speeds, there is nothing to worry.

I am only using streaming apps. And as for the issue being confined to "few certain routers", my router is an ISP router that half of Canada uses. So it's just bad development on your part, sir.

Sorry if this topic has been discussed already - If I install USB Audio Player Pro on my M6U - will I be able to configure it in "prime mode"? Or UAPP takes care of itself when active?
Thank you!
* "prime mode" means - no apps running on background, etc

Nope... Only the Shanling Music Player works in Prime Mode
