UAPP does not degrade the sound. I think they’re nearly identical. I’ve rarely read that UAPP sounds inferior to stock music players. Give it a try. It’s good

It sounds terrible on the DX160. I'm doing some testing between the stock player, UAPP and Neutron.

Using EQ with both UAPP and Neutron still decreases the power/volume. Oh well, with this dap they don't really need it. Call me crazy, but I do believe that using these apps slightly degrades the sound quality. I'm hearing more nuances with the stock player, especially with my highest quality vinyl rip files. Could just be in my head, but I don't think so.

Did you use the UAPP native EQ? I think it’s an additional purchase and I was wondering how much it decreases volume. That irks me about EQ. Hiby mseb is really good that way, no decrease.

I haven't tried that yet, and probably won't. I don't think EQ can be used without affecting the power. Neither of my Hiby's or Opus players did this. Using UAPP doesn't effect the volume as much as using EQ with the stock player. Still noticeable though.

I was wondering if anybody has this problem with the Shanling m6 pro, My sd card doesn't show any of my folders or files on it when i check it to add more mp3's. After I added a new folder it was there for awhile , but it is now not showing up.. My SD card works fine on my Samsung 20 note phone and when you put it in a Sd card reader.On the Shanling m6 pro, all the folders show up in the files amp on the player and when you use the storage app. All the mp3 songs are there when you scan them with the shanling player an when i use the Musicolet player when lets you change id tags , but it won't save the changes , like it does on my Samsung phone. I'm using a Pny 1 tb card and have over 512 gb on it. Is there a setting i"m missing , i check the file transfer box.Other than that this player sounds so good and it drives my Hifiman Sundara Phones using a Balance cable at 40 on the volume dial plenty loud. this card doesn't have a lock slider on it, so thats it and you can add files to it, they show up at first then they don't show up a day later. any help would be such a savior thanks in advance

Little bit confused. You say that card shows up all the folders while you are browsing it in the apps on M6 Pro, but when you add new folders, they disappear? Do you transfer files to it using sd card reader or with M6 Pro connected to computer(running Windows/Mac/Linux)?
Can you try different card?

I"m using the pny pro elite Sd card.when connected to the computer the folders and files while connected to the computer using usb cable from the Shanling and clicking the box file transfer don't show up on the computer . what makes it even stranger is the first time i connected to the computer from the usb from Shanling w. The files showed up except 6 folders that were all over 50 gb each.Ive took the card out of the shanling put it in a card reader and all the folders and files show up on the computer. thanks for responding to my help request

Not sure what can be causing this. For now I would recommend to transfer files to the card using the card reader and see if it all is recognized by the player.
