It's a power setting which you can enable and disable under settings / general / scheduled power offcc @Shanling
I recently bought a "like-new" M6 Pro 2020 version from MusicTeck and it indeed appears to be in like-new condition. Initial setup worked fine, able to install 3rd-party apps via PureAPK, playback worked fine etc. But if the 2020 and 2021 versions suffer this same operating flaw ... well, then they're both pretty flawed:
After leaving the player on and inactive for a short-ish period of time (5-10 minutes), the unit appears to shut itself down. That in itself is a potentially significant design flaw - but equally bad is having to hold down the wheel button for 17 seconds or more to restart the unit! Yes, unit is charged to > 90%, yes I set display sleep to 30 minutes, and no a factory reset is not an acceptable workaround for what seems to be a serious design / operating flaw.
Thanks for that - found it, jacked both to their max values. It's a power setting which you can enable and disable under settings / general / scheduled power off
Normally you need to hold the button just for few seconds, then the Android starts up (which then takes bit time). If you are holding down the button for 17 seconds, you are doing forced restart. Thanks for that - found it, jacked both to their max values.
But still: a >17sec wait to restart the unit via the wheel button is poor engineering.

Hello! I've just purchased this player and really enjoying it with my Moondrop Blessing 2s. I've got a question. Is there a way to control the device via bluetooth from ios? Simply volume controls and skip/rewind tracks feature will do.
I managed to connect with HibyMusic, and that solves the volume control issue but I cannot do anything else like skipping tracks on Amazon Music.
saw a secondhand being sold on local stores nearby.. will it support MQA ?
@Shanling: my powered off M6 Pro v1 unit has never, ever started up after a "few seconds" of holding down the wheel button. It consistently takes over 10 seconds before the 'power on' light illuminates. From a powered-off state, how long should one expect to hold down the wheel button before the power light turns on?
I'm also concerned about battery performance: this "like-new" unit was delivered with 87% battery charge and charged up to 96% on my first day of use, but never reached 100% charge. After light use yesterday then powering off at 81% battery level, the unit spent 8 hours on a Google QC charger. This morning the M6 Pro started up with only 64% charge. After 1 hour on a Nekteck USB-C charging port (5V 3A), the battery level is only at 68%. w_t_f !?

@Shanling : on my M6 Pro the power-on LED never lights up any sooner than 8sec on pressing the wheel button. After about 2 seconds you should see the red light on side light up.
Can you try some "older" charger, something that isn't usb-C or proprietary google QC charger?
On my M6 21 ProOn my M6 Pro the power-on LED never lights up any sooner than 8sec on pressing the wheel button.
I'm now trying to charge with an older Choetech Q3001 QC 3.0 charger - and the M6 Pro is not charging at all. Worse, it actually loses charge if I open an app while charging. Nor is there any charge indicator if the unit is powered off and charging. I gather that is a shortfall of the device itself - other owners appear to have commented on it.
Right - mine is a 1st gen M6 Pro. I'm beginning to think the the device itself is somehow defective. On my M6 21 Pro
I press wheel 5 seconds . LED comes on Red then normal Android boot up
