M6 pro is still a good choice 👍🏻
I bet 2021 will be different with Sabre 9038.
Ive had the M6 Pro 21 for 3 days now and I also expected a significant shift in signature toward more bright with the ESS chips but the Shanling House Sound is alive and well in this thing. These guys know how to tune; it's incredibly resolving with plenty of air but leans slightlty warm with a lot of weight, depth and control to the lower end. I love this DAP. My favorite DAP so far. I'm honestly stunned at how good it is. I'm very happy with this thing. I'm going to start tracking the battery consumption with various Apps to get a handle that but anectodotally it looks like I should get 12 to 13 hours out of it on Low Gain / Balanced Out, which has been plenty with every IEM in my stable.

Is there any way of forcing BT connection in BT AMP mode to APTX or even better APTX-HD.
My transmitter is able to do so, all other devices use aptx-HD with it, just the M6 Pro connects with SBC.

Also anyone knows how to enable physical control buttons with Tidal app.

Thanks.

M6 Pro do not support aptX or aptX HD in Bluetooth receiver mode. Only LDAC and SBC are supported in this mode.

Buttons are working fine for Tidal on my unit, running Tidal version 2.43.0

Does the M6 Pro 21 have adjustable gain like the M8?

How does adjustable gain work on the M8? The M6 Pro 21 has 3 Different gain settings, Low Medium and High but they are not adjustable within each except of course for volume control.

High Gain is called "Turbo" on the M8. I run my Daps on High gain or Turbo and they are more dynamic.
Thank you for answering my question.

You bet, it's also called Turbo on the M6 Pro 21: Low, High, Turbo are the 3 levels.
