I am amazed not to see any response on this post after several days. I note that I have to patch Google Store after updating but do I have to reinstall all the applications? If so, it would be very painful. Thank you .

No you don't have to re-install your apps or accounts. Just install the new firmware, reboot. Then install the play store patch and reboot.

I am getting the M6 Pro tomorrow and the lack of gapless playback has me worried. I mainly listen to classical music and gapless playback could be a potential deal breaker for me. Is this currently only limited to the Shangling Music app only?

My old M1 has gapless playback so it seems ludicrous this model doesn't.

It's issue of Shanling Music app. There are other apps that fully support gapless playback on M6 Pro.

Trying to instan using coolapk, but I cannot login. And there is error play protect not certified.

Just wondering if it is possible to add an ultra low gain setting in the future firmware update?
I just get mine M6 pro realizing its unbalanced output is way more powerful than my earlier DAP. I am experiencing clipping noise when pause or switching tracks when using my sensitive IEMs.

We didn't get such feedback from other users, but it might be something to add.

I was using the Shanling music app. My IEMs are Solaris 2020 & Andromeda OG.

I have another question for you guys.
AKM 4497EQ has the capability to support up to DSD512 according to their spec sheet. Why the M6 pro can only support up to DSD256 while M30 desktop DAC/AMP can support up to DSD512? Just curious about this.

I can live on low gain with my M6 Pro and Solaris 2020 but it's true that the volume steps are quite consequent.
An ultra-low gain setting would allow to have better control over the volume steps.
