Dunno 'Hype' or just personal tastes. I wanted to like it and kept trying but the next model down Fiio sounded better to me.

Does the increase in price worth than the M11 Pro? Im stuck what should i get between these two. The reviews ton HifiGo lean towards more on the M6 Pro slightly better soundstage and imaging as well as on the low region. Do you agree on these?

I think there are different!
Shanling can’t change amp/dac module but sound natural, very accurate and musical but not euphonic.

Hey Shanling. Darn you guys for putting out great stuff. My pocketbook is unhappy.

Can you fill us in on the improved DSD support? What is new, what is still not yet done?

Also, at one time I had the impression that native gapless was not quite where is needed to be. Is that / was that true, and where are we now?

DSD playback is now fully supported, all going native. Latest firmware update was mainly just to fix some noise glitches that could show up with certain files.

DSD ISO is still not supported, right now can just advice to use software and split the ISO into standard DSD files.

Gapless still doesn't work properly in our Shanling Music App. Still awaiting fix.

First of all, thank you for the helpful and detailed answer. That is something I really like about Shanling, good support.

With regard to DSD, the reason ISO is helpful is that the DSD files are actually quite compressed. If one extracts the files, the resulting file is about twice as big as the corresponding ISO. Unfortunately, I don’t know of any way to “repack” the DSD files.

Hello @Shanling I've been loving my M5s but feel it's time for an upgrade! I find both the M6 and M6 Pro quite compelling BUT I really love the intuitive, snappy and battery efficient MTouch 2.0 Any chance of an M6 Pro like device with the Shanling MTouch OS?

Not sure. Seems market for higher priced devices pretty much demands Android.
