Mk2 would imply it's new generation that's replacing M6, which is not case. Both versions will be sold alongside.
"Pro" naming is now common among electronics, simply implying it's higher version of standard model.

Common and without meaning nevertheless. M6i would be better.

I'm sure they will strongly consider your suggestion, but then again why would anyone have a strong opinion on this?

well, I'm with Taffy on this. Using the PRO moniker not only sounds hokey, but is flat wrong - it distorts the commonly held definition of what 'pro gear' is. Plus, this type of advertising resonates 'with big box' consumers. I'd hope that serious manufacturers would have more respect for serious audio enthusiasts.

All y'all complaining about the Pro suffix... uh, everyone's just following Apple. It isn't any more complicated than that.

Received my M6 Pro today .. No burn in yet but sounds ‘Top of the Pops’ out the box so I’m grinning .Big broad powerful soundstage with finesse and great layering . Little colour versus my DX220 with 8EX amp .. both different sound propositions and signatures . Partnered with Shanling ME700 IEM’s M6 Pro sounds a stunning and hugely impressive new kid on the block .......

@Shanling
Will the M6 Pro model work only under Andoird?
Will it also have the option to run under Mtouch?

It's running only on Android, no MTouch.

But there is Prime mode, when activated it simplifies the player,reducing it just to Shanling Music app and settings.

There will be new design of case coming alongside M6 Pro.

I see why, the top right rounded corrner of the M6 is not here on the M6 Pro althoigh screen is still curved, I thought i was going nuts trying to fit an M6 TPU on mine, ended up putting a slit in the case with knife. I like the colour in person better :)

Also the usb-c is is shifted slightly to the left.

Any chance you can give a brief comparison to the Yinlvmei device? No need for to try and call one better than the other, moreso just a comparison in tonal quality, stage, background noise, software etc?

Does the M6pro keep the same Shanling smooth tuning, that spans most of their devices, or is this model a tad more energetic, since it has the dual 4497, and improved amp stage?

Also when is the google play intl (non Chinese) version being released?
