Teach me how to put Google Play with me after installation generally goes into reboot and does not load ... or is a special version needed?
You only need m6 international version. Try factory reset and install again google store from APKpure thats it.
Maybe you get m6 chinesse version... I get that one before i returned it because that version cant use google store.

hi, I installed apple music, you can download to the SD for off line lstening, works very well, at the end I removed it since I can stream from my cell/apple music via bluetooth, works very well too and this way I save some precious space in my SD for my flac files. how ever I would not recomend bluetooth for higher res music i.e. TIDAL as the bandwidth may lead to bit loss particulary with apple phones since there is no support for LDAC, Aprx HD, etc. apple is stucked with their AAC bluetooth codec.

The only way you can connect iphone to M6 is: AAC--->SBC which limited to some 300kbp, but enough for apple music.. I use android phone tough.

What is the best sounding player app for this one?
The standard Shanling app lacks a bunch of options and features that I deem pretty important, from gapless playback to list sorting options.
I have installed Poweramp, which has IMO some of the best usability, but I'm not so sure about sound quality.
I have also installed the Neutron player, but haven't played around with that yet.

Thoughts? Is there some sort of common sense?

I haven't fiddled around with too many other music player apps. I have Neutron and HiBy installed on my M6. The Shanling app sounds the best to me, despite the lack of gapless. It just really makes the most out of the hardware. Neutron is my Android phone music app of choice, despite that app's ancient UI.

I agree with PopZeus. the shanling app sounds best. I tried Neutron, found it complicated to tune (EQ particulary), tried also Hiby, which also needs some tunning and to my taste stay away from the MSBE DSP the soud signature can really get akward/distorded. Both Neutron and Hiby plan SACD DST which is a big plus, and both have more/better features and the shangling app, but sound quality is better in shanling app.
I you want to try, I would recomend Hiby first, another downsize for Neutron is the design and colors of the UI, seems from an arcade game from the 80s. minor detail. Another that I have not tried is USB Audio Pro, I have on my android phone, but have not loaded in the M6, I think the primary purpose of the app is to act as trasport and deliver bit stream to an external dac, that is why I use it on my phone, not any longer trough, my friend let me borrow his DragonFly for testing and works very well with USB Audio....

Now, owning the M6 no need for USB audio pro or other external DAC. to my taste the M6 is top notch SQ, and decent functionality. I decided to stay with the shanling app, hopping future realeases would bring theses highly needed features (i.e. gapless and DST playback support).

hope this helps

UAPP also works for internal DAC and with bit perfect activated, comparing with shanling app sounds like almost the same tuning, timbre, but a little bit more fatiguing for me. Like every note is a little bit more piercing.
The biggest plus for me with UAPP is that I can create mixed playlists with local files and songs from Tidal.

hi folks... Question, what is the tipical battery use per charge (100% to 10%) you are getting? I concerned I may have damaged the battery: I never turn off to reduce stress in the power buttom, just stop playing and then the timer turns the unit off.

Somethig happened 2 days ago and it did not turn off, the battery was depleted to 0%!, my short understaning is that batteries should never be used troughout the whole capacity, i.e. never fully charged and never fully depleted.

Now I`m getting 7hr (I measure this) from 100 to 10% using 16ohm IEM, balanced output 35% volume level, this is way below from the 11 hr advertise by Shanling.

please advise.

Discharge to 0% will not damage battery, definitely not after first time.

Battery life on M6 can vary wildly, depending on apps you have running, wi-fi, Bt, if you run SE or balanced, how much time you keep screen on, etc.
