@Shanling, are there plans to add volume control using touch screen? I miss the ability to slide over the on screen volume bar (after adjusting it with the wheel), it would help with big volume jumps :) It's a handy feature in Android daps and phones. Is it possible to implement? Right now if I slide over the volume bar, it just disappears.

You can click on the volume bar to open dedicated volume setting screen.

@Shanling 2 additional suggestions, if i may :) First, regarding usb dac option. On Windows there's a quite noticeable delay, even on the lowest latency setting, eg. when watching a movie, sound isn't quite in sync with video. When I had a FiiO X5III, the latency was fine when set to the lowest option. Just looking for a solution or if there is a chance for an update for the drivers :)
Second, this might be a weird idea, but on Android I was using an app called 'primitive FTPd" which allowed to host the device's storage as an FTP server and I could transfer the files wirelessly to the player that way. It's quite handy when you can't find the cable or just dont want to unplug it from the charger and plug it to the PC. Is it possible to implement this feature to M5s? Just a loose idea :)

Agreed, this is a great feature for times when you want to just add few album/tracks.
Yes, all they have to do is include a ftp/smb daemon and have the service start/stop when wi-fi is turned on/off.

I've finished my full review of M5s if anyone is interested however it's written in polish and unfortunately I don't have enough free time to do a proper translation so google translator will have to suffice at this point. Sorry.

Regarding reviews in Polish, here's one by Kropka.audio : https://kropka.audio/test/odtwarzacze/shanling-m5s-recenzja/, seems like Poland was one of the first ones to get M5s in their hands :).

@Shanling, one final thought, Polish translation isn't really well made. If you need assistance, I could help with a proper string translation :) For now, English system language is the way to go for me.

Shanling M5S sounds soft, detailed, but when comparing, I hear a slight blurring over the entire frequency range. I think this is the result of using the OPA1612. For those who love maximum transparency, sharpness and toughness Shanling M5S can not come. But lovers of soft musical presentation, without accents on superdetails - very much like to taste.

Could be mistaken, but I remember someone was asking here about M5s leather case. Just got notification that Musicteck will be running a sale starting Dec 24th where M5s together with a free leather case will be on sale for $399.
