So the M5S and M0 for that matter have become scarce in Canada right now.

The M5S which is selling for $299 in the US is selling for $599 in Canada. It should be selling for around $399 CDN around the same price as the Fiio M9. Instead it is priced about the same as the Fiio M11. Until Shanling can get their products priced competitively in Canada they are going to struggle for sales. I was surprised to see the M0 is now hard to find as it was readily available. My hope is that the Q1 will replace the M0 with the retailers that were carrying the M0. The market isn't big enough here to warrant carrying both so I am really hoping the Q1 gets picked up here. It would be a real shame it doesn't as I think it could sell very well here.

Coming from Sony Dap I can say I'm very impressed with M5s. Everything is so improved here. But there is one suggestions I would like to bring here, which is to be able to view Hi-Res file by album instead of by tracks.

This is partly because i have been used with my a55 where they view them by album & I also prefer to play by album instead of by tracks.

I have been using m5s for a few weeks now, everything is good but there is one thing, the library update is very slow, ngl. It took the dap about 4 minutes to load all of the 3k songs on my sd card whereas my old dap just need a few seconds to load all of it. So, is there a way you could speed it up even more?

I didn't expect it to perform as fast as my old dap, but maybe at least cut down the duration to half? Because it's not so good to waste almost 5 mins of my time just to wait for the updates. Thanks.

It was discussed with software team before, it seems there will be no improvements in scanning time.
If you are not completely changing your library and just adding few files once in a while, it's best to turn off automatic update and only use the specified folder update for the few new files.

Hello, who has experience of using Tidal on m5s, it's easy to search the music, playlists on such small display or it's better to look for other players for streaming ?
I like the form factor of this player, so i'm interested to have it.
