Shanling M3X Portable Player - Our smallest Android Player

For folks looking at alternative music apps, UAPP is quite good. It costs but cheaply. I think EQ capability is also extra which I don’t use. When I used Hiby app last year it also had minor, persistent issues with gapless playback, although mseb eq is very nice. FiiO app gave me issues with scanning, I couldn’t get it to recognize a few albums here and there. Zero issues UAPP.
Just in case, have you tried the Neutron Music Player? I'm wondering how does this one perform compared to UAPP, and they are in the same price range.

Unfortunately, same problem.
I just connected to a pair of Tennmak Pro-ANC TWS and no problem here. I've got a couple of BT DACs that I'll try later this morning.

thanks! maybe I should do a Hard reset
Yeah, it could be you maxed out the # connections on the buds. On these tws, I just need to long press the sensors on both buds simultaneously until I get the tone,aa d all pairings are cleared.

Has anyone figured out how to get USB DAC mode to work? Plugging in the M3X to my laptop with different cables isn't helping in having the laptop recognize the M3X in USB DAC mode.

If you're on Mac/Linux, it should work from scratch. However on Windows you might need the Shanling DAC driver that you can find here.
Hope this helps!

[edit] on the link, the M3X is not mentioned in the list of compatible devices yet, but for sure that's because this model is pretty new.

Oh geez, I totally forgot about the need for a driver on Windows 10. Thanks Pierre.

Alright, new problem. After restarting the laptop with the driver installed, leaving the M3X on USB DAC mode leads to the player shutting itself off during playback of files on the laptop. I was using MusicBee to navigate my music library.

@Shanling
I did a hard reset.
same problem
Did you tried to do factory reset on your Bluetooth headphones?

We have never got such report from any of our Android players, so not really sure what would be causing this.

Please reconnect M3X to the computer after restarting it.

But to other devices like Samsung Tab s6 and IPhone 12 Pro Max they are connected without problem.
I tried 3 different Headphones and they can’t connect to M3X
You can contact your seller and send them your M3X for check.
