I agree. My shanling m3x is still perfectly working. I like to pair it with most of my iems if I want some add some warm flavor to them. The hiby R4 design looks so nice… and carries android 12.
But my shanling M3X still works perfectly… it would not be wise
It's possible to purchase replacement battery from us, just the shipping cost is a bit high.Mine worked perfectly for 2.5 years. Still works fine if it's plugged in, so I'll keep it around as a desktop/nightstand device.

Battery life seems shorter tooLast I checked the Hiby R4 doesn't have Bluetooth receiver mode, like the M3X. I use this a lot on mine.
Also wasn't sure about the appearance of the R4.
Interesting. I'll check into that. It's possible to purchase replacement battery from us, just the shipping cost is a bit high.
Or there are cheap batteries for it on Aliexpress, but that's not something we can guarantee quality of.
Any guide to how to open the device? I assume I'd need to pull off the back panel, but I can barely get a razor into the seam, and that's just going to snap. It's possible to purchase replacement battery from us, just the shipping cost is a bit high.

Suction cup on the back. Get the proper one, like for phone repairs.Any guide to how to open the device? I assume I'd need to pull off the back panel, but I can barely get a razor into the seam, and that's just going to snap.

I had a cheap suction cup that didn't do a thing. I bought a proper one and wow! The back came right off. Thanks for the waning about the cables.Pic if anyone is curious about the innards of an M3X.Suction cup on the back. Get the proper one, like for phone repairs.
Be careful when lifting back, as there are cables connecting to main board.
i really would like to order an original battery since it is just 30usd, but man, shipping is 50usd to my country according to Shanling hahahaTo follow up, $20 the replacement battery from aliexpress arrived today. Took 2 minutes to pop it in, make sure the powered up and then close it back up. I charged it to 100% and let it sit for 2 hours. Now at 99%. I don't know how this battery will hold up over time and under load, but it's a lot better than 100% to empty in 30 minutes.
In the meantime, I got my Hiby R4 yesterday. Feast or famine.
