Shanling M3s - dual AK4490 DAC, 2.5 balanced out, aptX BT, HiBy link, USB out, FW 1.7

@Shanling, do the balanced and SE outputs share any components, or are they entirely independent circuits?

There are two audio paths, each of them having one DAC, LPF and amplifier. In Single ended you are using one audio path, in balanced both of them are activated.

I think it was a great review and pretty much reinforces what I have been hearing. Since I write reviews I very rarely read them, especially before writing one as to alleviate bias, but I have been working on my review so it is all good.

Someone uses the Ibasso IT01 along with the Shanling M3s, I am in doubt among the Daps.
Shanling M3s or Cayin N3.

Yep. M3s is a good leap over N3.

Also, the IT01 sounds fantastic out of it.

Great job, added to our review database in post #3! :)

@Shanling have u receive any feedback about the wheel always registering double press instead of one?

The button mechanism inside is quite sensitive to exact right set up of wheel, especially if the wheel was taken out and put back. When I was changing wheel on my M3s(to give it some small colour touch), it acted like this for little while, until I changed position of wheel by like 0.1 of milimetr.

I didn't take out mine before it was as it is since I got it. This happens sporadic, when I'm making changes in the settings it always make changes without my confirming cause the wheel was registering it as double press.

Does anyone have issues with the Bluetooth? I was trying to pair the Bluetooth with my rental '18 Nissan Sentra. Both found each other and the head unit said it was playing the song (showed time elapsed on the head unit) but the player said it wasnt playing and there was no sound. When I tried to reset it it would go to shutdown and show the splash screen and then freeze there. Tried it 3 more times with the sames results. Turned off Bluetooth and it shutdown fine. Also shuts down and works fine when using Bluetooth for hyby link with my iphone. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to reflash the firmware or something?

For reference I preordered through musicteck and didn't send it back because it didnt seem like it had the issues that were described here in the forums.

Thanks!

No, this will probably more problem of the car stereo system, they are quite random and problematic. Can you try to use your player with some standard BT headphones or speakers?
