I just go to My music > Open All

Ah, well - then it appears that the default order to list and play for All is track name - and what you want is an extra layer of hierarchy, with album name prepended to all the track names.

You might try an experiment, using Mp3tag [ https://www.mp3tag.de/en/ ] - and actually add the Album Name to the Track Name tag, for an album or two.
Either put them on a separate "Test" microSD card, or upload them to the M3s, and let the player rescan the music files.

Do you reckon if I create playlist in foobar from M3 music path then it will be sorted how it is in my playlist done in foobar?

Yes, a Playlist is a fixed-order text file - and the DAP plays each track in the order of the lines in the m3u file.

There is some kind of organization but i just want to play all and get it sorted by name albums, m3 sorting it by track titles not artist when you go play all

If you go to play all, it's set up to go with alphabetical order. That's kind of the point of Open all.

Only possibility to sort it by albums would be to use mp3tag and change titles of all your songs(not name of file, but actual title tag)

Can you please tell me, why you want to sort it all by album in Open all, instead of just going browsing between albums?

Hi,

Because i like to jump between albums, lets say i want to listen to 3 songs from this album and after maybe im fancy to jump to different album to listen specific song then again to different one, so i think it would be less hassle to Open All > 10 albums of 2pac for example and just scroll between albums rather then opening new album for 1 song and then another for different song, hope it make sense. I just mean would be nice to have option in M3 to basically add all your music and choose how you want to have it sorted for example Sort by Artist or Sort by Album/Title option.

Some of my Albums are in .cue files so i reckon i cant change those?

Can someone please tell me where i should place my playlist on M3 ? There is no folder Music by default just my Folders i've added like HQ Music etc, shall i then make folder Music > then add my folders with music, and create in Music folder Playlist folder?

the M3s no go to deep sleep just few minutes and turn off
What happend ?
What menu options help?

And another maybe bug: If the m3s turn off sd card lost .Need few restart and working again.

In settings, there is "auto-standby" setting.

SD card error is known to us, we are waiting for firmware fix from our software partner.

I have had both M2s and M3s and i preffer the M2s (the M3s is warmer imo).
I have sold both of them, i'm not an AKM lover (I prefer ESS Dacs).
But i like a lot the ui, the formfactor and the connectivity options of the M2s and M3s and i miss them.
When i have both (months ago) the firmware was 1.1 if i remember right so i was wondering if the latest firmwaer have had an impact on the sound ?

I don't think the firmware changes have had any impact on sound.

The EQ is quite usable, so I'd say if you like the device but want to tweak the sound, just EQ to your preference.

Interesting, majority of people says M3s is the most neutral from our players. What headphones/IEMs were you using?

Impact of firmware on the sound? If you ask our engineers, they will tell you that unless somebody plays with digital filters(or add new ones), there should be no change. Of course, audiophiles might see it differently.





In other news, on The Master Switch website, they published their BEST DIGITAL AUDIO PLAYERS OF 2018 list and M3s scored 3rd place, higher than Hifiman HM901s, Sony NW-WM1Z, iRiver AK380, Lotoo PAW Gold, Opus #2, Pioneer 300R, Fiio X7 mark II..

Not sure how they rated it, but I could see such lists more often!
