Thank you for replying. That being said, is the best option then to buy an M2S with bigger screen as transport and use that with the Mojo?

If you're going to get one of the older generation (with HiBy Music software) Shanling DAPs (M1, M2s, M3s), you'll need to order soon, since they've apparently stopped making them (except one more production run of the M3s).
Shanling's next generation of DAPs (M0 & M5s) have Music software that's been developed in-house by Shanling.
It doesn't yet have the equivalent of the HiBy Link app (remote control software), but is planned for a future release.

I use it as transport for mojo, with hiby link it’s awesome.
The only issue is inability to change volume from an app, but it’s minor.
Airport security does get excited about this set up now and then though
Hahaha Yeap it does look like a suspicious package! Thanks for the reply. That's a more economical option to the £499 Chord Poly. I just can't justify it.

Why not give BQEYZ KB1 a chance? :)

[You need to mention budget and what kind of sound you're looking for :) ]

Thanks for that, much appreciated.
After reading one review maybe I just need an extra bluetooth cable with 0.77mm diameter pins? That would mean i could use my MD x Nuforce EDC3.

Have you ever checked separate bluetooth cables?

Sidenote: my son got Airpods which were a bit too bassy/boomy for my taste (need to check with him if he changed something regarding the Bass/Highs etc.). Well... "wireless" is quite nice but i don´t want to pay so much just for "sports" buds.

Not sure if there are decent wireless bluetooth buds in the range of the KB1 (or a good bluetooth cable which would fit my EDC3).
Regarding the music...Electronic mostly.

Thanks and Cheers.

Hi guys, I have 2 problems with Shanling M2s and need help:

1. Vietnamese language (song name, lyrics) is not displayed correctly. I installed the custom firmware of Vortex 3.5 (thank you, Vortex), but it still is the problem. For ex.: "Chiều nay", the letter "ề" can not be displayed correctly, but a square. I currently use English language of the system.
2. At the start of playback, there is a little blank before the sound kicks in so I do miss out on the first second of music, I have to rewind to hear that 1st second.

Anyone please help me :D, thank you all very much.

Delay is present due to way how system works with protection circuit. Nothing to do with it on M2s, but we changed it for M0 and M5s.

Thank you, anyway, I think we still have a way to solve this temporarily via software (if nothing to do in hardware).

For an ex.: When starting playing back, at the same time the system works with protection circuit, the system should play another hidden file (length: 0,5 sec. . . ) in background, then, returning immediately to the current file, so there will be no missing time.

Another ex. is that the system just delays playing the file when the system protects power circuit, then play the file.

Or just automatically add a hidden second at the start of the first file, we'll have to wait for more 1 second, but there should be no missing.

I'm sorry that I don't have knowledge about this, forgive me if this bothers you, Shanling. :D.

And I have another question, could we have a way to use lyric in the file tag? I mean no need timestamps, enable Lyric mode and using the scroll button to scroll the lyric, if we want to change volume, turn off the screen and adjust it. :D

I still have problems with Vietnamese language in files names and lyrics :frowning2:.

Thank you very much.

System on M2s is produced by HiBy(we can't really change anything in it) and while this problem of skipping beginning of file was reported long time go, there was never any fix.

Hi guys,

I've been rocking my S2 for a year now.
I recently got a pair of Edifier speakers, S1000DB model, and the M2 doesn't scan them with Bluetooth.

Can anyone relate or know how to achieve the BT connection with the speakers?

Thanks.

I actually have the same speakers, and it works for mine.

Have you set the speakers to Blue Light when trying to scan for them? This is how you make sure they are visible to BT devices.

Also, I am not sure if they are still visible when paired with something else, if you paired them before, and if they are actively being used by another device.

I know the Shanling is meant for music and that is what I what mainly be using for but, is there a podcast function as well? Also, how does it compare to the Cayin N3?

Podcasts are not in a different format, but in JRriver it separates that from my music so I can keep track of them better. And they are MP3's.
