About sorting. I know some portable players on market have limited hardware and only offer sorting by date of file creation. And there are always people trying to fix this problem with some external software.
Honestly, you are first person to ever asks about this truly strange way of s orting, that I think most people find confusing.
So I'm sorry, but I doubt we will add this sort of sorting.

When I have some new albums added to SD card and want them to be easily found, I just put them into "newest music folder".

More info tomorrow

Enjoy it!!

@Shanling it possible to add "Recent Added Files" just like u implement "Recent Play" in MY MUSIC menu section? It will be much easier way to play my newest music.. :)

Guys using this DAP as usb DAC causes almost a 1s delay on cs go. I tried with only amp and only dap and dap + armp, and everytime the dap is involved i get the delay. Can this be a faulty unit or is some setting im missing?

Edit : Causes delay on general, i just noticed on cs cause its easier,

Maybe i am the first to ask you but i don't think it is strange at all. I have a Sansa Clip with Rockbox on it and it is one of the options for sorting (sort on date), if it is that strange it wouldn't be added in Rockbox as it is community driven and people can request for features. So somehow people use it and request for it. Different people have different preferences.

But if it can't be done on the M2s it can't be done. Then i have keep using the workaround.

I am now testing new Beta Hibylink firmware and... I don't know if I can tell it today (and not wait till tomorrow @Shanling) - it is absolutely amazing! There are so many ways to use my new tiny friend and control it by the phone: DAP is in the pocket, DAP is connected to car audio, DAP is connected to home audio system far from me and I can see the album art, playlist, song info (year, genre, title, album etc). Even volume control is available on the phone application (HibyMusic).
WOW!
I am really impressed. One question is about battery consumption - we'll see.

@Shanling - if it is possible I can help to translate M2s GUI into Polish language

Glad you like it

From my info, our next feature will include Polish!

Wait a tic, will this work while m2s is hooked to mojo also? So with this FM the m2s basically can be touch screen controlled. Hmmm. Sounds tight, can't wait to try it.

Been using that combination just today, M2s connected to Mojo and my phone being in charge of everything

I will report it to our engineers and we will see what they can do.

Also trying Hibylink with galaxy edge 6 and works a charm :) Playing it through mojo ( porcupine tree - lightbulb sun )and sitting on my ass and using the smooth scrolling of my phone to control my little m2s. Album art looks great and it even displays bit rate

Good stuff!

BTW Shanling was this the 'secret feature' you spoke of? Or is their more to unveil. See I must be physic ha ha because I said the hidden feature would be touch screen support (jokingly) and in a way it is.

Yes, I'm trying to check out what's going on. I don't have my uniit of M2s with me these days, so can't test it, asked technical department for answer and will get back to you as soon as I have some.

Does that mean you are carrying a beta M5s to test out?

My Shanling M2S arrived just now. I purchased it from Penon audio. They included a case and extra screen protective films. I paid extra for DHL express shipping, which worked great. Four days from order to delivery.

The unit is really small. Thinner than the M1, but a bit longer. Sound so far is a small step up from the original M2; but it is not a banging me over the head improvement. The high end reminds me of the mellow approach used by the M1; I need to listen more but I'd say the original M2 has a slightly different treble presentation and I might categorize the original M2 as a bit more treble forward but not terribly so.

The soundstage is a bit more open and the bass impact is improved with the FLC8S compared with the original M2.

For the person who asked about this unit vs the FIIO X3II; its a no brainer. Go M2S. And do not get me wrong; I really loved my X3II. Until Uncle Nik ruined me forever by loaning me the M2 and the FLC8S.

One thing this unit really could use is a sports band like the M1 has. How about it Shanling?

One nice feature is the ability to play natively SACD ISO files and not just DSF files. By the way that is one nice feature on the X3II for the person asking about that; the M2 could play DSF files but not SACD ISO files. Anyway, I enjoyed the ability to play back a rip of the Miles Davis So What on MFSL. Now, I slightly prefer the HD Tracks FLAC mix of So What; but the MFSL has its own charms and I wanted to test out the SACD capability for native ISO playback with something awesome. By the way, HD Tracks recently had a sale and So What was impossibly reasonable; something like $13 for the 24 - 192 version. Talk about an audio bargain. I guess you all know that I have been referred to 12 step programs related to Kind of Blue so please forgive me on that.

I probably have one Shanling unit too many but I really can't decide whether to let go of the most likely sale candidate; the M1. It really is so cute and is great for exercise. And it sounds great with the LZ-A2 which mates super well with the M1.
