Shanling M2s Hi-Res DAP with AK4490 + MUSE8920, Bluetooth, & USB Out

My unit has just arrived!! Ordered for 135 euro on ebay :)
Just a little note: I'm also having problems with dac function. Works everything well, but i'm having delay issue (not one second, but it is quite noticed on videos)
Need to know if this is normal or if it is a faulty unit... Thanks in advance :)

We are looking into it. Does it occur mainly with sound in system(games, video) or also in well set up output over Foobar?

Let me ask people who are using the M2s as transport together with a Mojo. When i forward tracks, i experience the music stopping and then playing for a micro second (same track), stop again then play the next track. Currently using firmware 1.1

Does yours do this too?

@Shanling something that you may also want to look into.

has anyone had experiences with the M5 and the M2s and would you recommend the older flagship M5 to the newer M2s? thanks!

M5 is a fantastic dap. Not so many features as M2s but M5 dues have superior sound IMHO.

Thank you very much Shanling. You helped me not abandon hope. And you may learn from the crash that happened to my unit, so for future products you develop such mistakes never to happen again.

Not abandon hope? Dude, that sounds so melodramatic

I might suggest we create a separate thread for beta testing. Or maybe better yet start a Slack or Teleport group. Might be better than filling the thread with beta issues. I'm all for beta testing. Done a lot of it at work and in my personal life, and I wouldn't want to scare anyone off from a good product with new people not understanding that a lot of the issues are due to people using beta FW. I've seen that happen in the older FiiO threads. @Shanling?

We have separate HiBy link thread, so I would be glad if any conversation about HiBy link and any connected issues were discussed there https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/h...-m1-m2s-wireless-control-for-your-dap.852725/

Making a separate beta thread for bug fixes and beta testing would be a good idea. I agree that some of these initial bugs might scare some buyers off, but Shanling has been nothing short of amazing with communicating and resolving issues that have been brought up.

The issue that happened just a page or two ago, maybe it was caused by a bug, or like Shanling mentioned...several times...firmware was downgraded the wrong way, but it was more of a customer support issue. I, personally, would have rather seen that stuff hashed out in PM or email or phone between customer and supplier. Then, when all is resolved, whether the outcome was good or bad, bring it up on the forum. It just looked very...whiny...how it was brought to Shanling's attention.

I was using the M2s with the Hifiman RE2000 today, great little pairing (my usual player is the Audio Opus #2)
