You know that the Hiby r3 ii has a 50k limit based on experience or speculation? The hardware is what caused the 20k limit and last I checked the Hiby R3 ii has the old x1000 - same as the Shanling Q1, M0 Pro and Hiby R3 Pro Saber.

Fixed issue causing system freezing when accessing files on high-capacity cards / High number of files

Does it mean the file limitation is set higher this time, than 20.000?
No, still the limit at 20 000 files.

Download freezes and goes back to the screen asking if to install.

Edit: DL resumes at percentage left off.
Yeah, seems OTA update is broken now, please proceed with the manual update for now.

Just got my M1S. Excellent DAP!

Wishlist .. I realise some may not be possible or have been mentioned before)...

1. Gapless play for ALL formats please
2. Support for MLP files please. Would love to play 'direct' rips instead of PCM to flac etc. Not that pcm is bad, but still...(and yes, I know DVD-A is considered "dead" but they thought SACD was too 😁).
3. Bluetooth dropouts from time to time, even in close range...working on this?
4. Screen timeout option jumps from 1 min to 5 min. Maybe a 2 min or 3 min option?

Love this unit so far!

No, still the limit at 20 000 files.

Apparently HiBy's software team found a way to increase the limit to 50,000 tracks by "optimizing the compression" (@Joe Bloggs). Please ask the Shanling software team to investigate this method. If HiBy can get to 50K tracks using the old processor, but Shanling can't while using the next generation processor, it's not a good look for Shanling. Cheers

After the 2.5 update, the device performs very well. Everything I need works. Even on sondpeats air3 deluxe hs headphones. Because before it very often broke the bluetooth connection. Currently it does not break. And as I wanted to sell the device, now I will not give it away for any money. I am waiting for the eventual implementation of an audiobook player for full happiness.

Without the Shanling USB Driver 5.20, Win 11 does not see m1s in usb DAC mode. The usb DAC mode is enabled in the player settings, but for some reason, Windows first shows the contents of the memory card folders - as in usb mode, and then the usb DAC mode starts on the player itself. I changed the firmware to 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and reset the player to factory settings, Windows sees m1s when I install the driver (Shanling USB Driver 5.20), in the properties of sound devices m1s is defined as a shanling audio device. There is no need to install an additional driver on the M0 Pro; Windows detects it immediately. It's kind of strange(

Is the M1s bluetooth signal stronger than the M0 Pro for LDAC? I find when I'm at work and have the M0 Pro in my pants pocket it frequently cuts out, especially when I'm lifting something and have to raise my arms. I never had any issue with my Linkbuds S and phone before, I understand it is a tiny device, but this is my main use and will have to look at other options. After upgrading my phone and losing the SD card feature I was trying to keep it as small as possible but will probably have to go up in size.

Yes, M1s has a stronger signal than M0 Pro, it's using more advanced Wireless module.

For your M0 Pro and linkbuds S, you can try to switch to other modes of LDAC to get the connection more stable.
