2.8 is ota? No announcement from Shanling..you would think there would be 2.7 before 2.8?

Yes, weird to go from 2.6 to 2.8. However I think it's legit. Performed firmware check OTA from the M1S today and sure enough, 2.8 was there. Updated successfully and having no issues thus far.

Ya its was around $20 CAD, a few places had them. Amazon for me only had the brown ones left. I got black.

M1s was discontinued, but it should still receive some firmware updates alongside the M1 Plus and M5 Ultra.
No plans for the double tap.

Why was m1s discontinued? I like it quite a lot, I am sure there is still a big market for a device like this.

Very short product life cycle. I just bought it, it was still relatively new, and it's replaced with m1 Plus.. Just odd, that's all. I though maybe conflict with Aoshida..Just keep the firmware coming and don't change the tuning, I am saving to get M5U. M1s will be sitting on top of my stereo for Bluetooth receiver. Please don't discontinue M5U too quickly. Thank you.

Yes, the situation with M1s was a bit complicated, as it was model distributed only by Aoshida on International market.

M1 Plus and M5 Ultra are standard Shanling release and available through all our normal distributors.

I love my M1s, perfect size for IEMs and insane sound quality, powerful small beast!

Not planning to replace it anytime soon.
