Shanling M1 Plus - New Generation of Compact MTouch Players

@Shanling

Could you update us on the status of the planned Qobuz support?

Streaming Question: we are offered Tidal to stream as it offers Hi Res. With Tidal losing numbers and Spotify eventually offering Hi Res, is it possible we get an firmware update adding Spotify Hi Res streaming?

Was wondering if there is any way of sorting the files on the player. If I open Genre, Artist, Folder or My Fav can I ask to Alphabetize the Tracks as opposed to be being listed as Latest instead? I cannot see an option but thought I would double check?

We would be thrilled to add Spotify to our system, sadly it seems Spotify doesn't really care about smaller Hi-Fi companies, as it's pretty much impossible to even reach anybody from that company in regards to software cooperation. Big contrast to Tidal and Qobuz who are very nice to work with.

Folder is sorted alphabetically.
Artist list is firstly sorted alphabetically, then by track numbers.
Genre, this one is a bit strange mix, it lists the albums behind each other. My recommendation would be to just use shuffle play for that.
Favorites lists in the order as they were added.

Thank you for the follow-up.

A Tidal question. When accessing Tidal I can see my Tracks and Albums but when I try to access the Playlists I get a failed to access flag. All other selections work but Playlists, any advice to overcome this issue.

I have a question for people who already have this unit.
I listen mostly to electronic music, Trance, House, Dub & Reggae, Trip Hop and some 70's 80's bands from my teens. My current IEMs consist of Fatfreq x HBB Deuce, Ziigat x HBB Arcadia, Aful Explorer and I doubt thats going to change much. I like bass, clear mids, smooth treble and have an aversion to sibilance. I have read and watched every review out there on this unit and most people say it's has quite a warm and smooth sound signature. I'm concerned that this unit would be unsuitable for these IEM's and could produce too much low end. Any input on this would be appreciated.
I have the Shanling M1s as a daily carry and really enjoy the sound compared to the Hiby R4 for at home listening plus, I really don't need all the android nonsense. I want something to play music and play it well.

Thanks in advance.
I recently got the M1 Plus and have the R4.I would call the M1 Plus nutruel and I would say the R4 has a slightly warmer sound. I use slightly warm IEM's and at times I kick the bass up a bit with no ill effect on the M1 Plus.

Thanks for your reply and I've just noticed I posted in the wrong thread, lol. I was meant to ask about the Shanling M5 Ultra.

Dear Shanling!
I am contacting you with the following question. In addition to Shanling M1Plus, I have a Hiby R2 II player. It has a function for listening to Internet radio stations. I really appreciate it, because I like listening to Internet radio. There it happens through the playlist radio.txt, which you can edit yourself and thus you can change the number of radio stations.
Is it possible to implement the function of listening to Internet radio stations in future firmware using such a playlist or in some other way? I think this will be interesting not only to me.
Best regards, UPitus

Currently our software team does not work with internet radios at all, not even on our streamers.
As such, it's unlikely to add this function to our DAPs.
