Around page 375 of this thread there was talk of Gapless not working with MP3 but it worked with FLAC. All my tracks are ripped to FLAC but gapless does not work. Was gapless broken, does it still work on FLAC? I have gapless set to on (circle to the right) I have set to "List" and I'm playing from the "Folder" menu and hitting play on the first track. Am I missing a setting?
Do the tracks need to be in a playlist?

Yes, gapless still works and no, you don't need playlists.

I can only think you haven't tagged your files so M0 doesn't think they belong to the same album.

How big gap are you getting? Does it really pause for a second, or is there just fraction of second without sound?

@technobear and @Shanling
I've found the problem.
I tested by dragging an album of mixed FLAC tracks to my phone and to my M0. All tagged with same album name.
My phone plays the album perfectly using Media Monkey Android (set to gapless) as the player through its internal speakers, line out and via Bluetooth to my Sony WH-1000XM4 Bluetooth Headphones using the SBC Bluetooth codec.

The M0 plays gapless perfectly using line out and SBC BT codec and AAC BT codec.
The M0 DOES NOT play gapless correctly using APT X, or any of the 3 LDAC codecs to my Sony WH-1000XM4 Bluetooth Headphones.

My phone only has the SBC codec so I can't test if it's a problem with codec or M0.

The gap is approx 1/4 to 1/2 second

I only bought the Shanling M0 because of the LDAC codec so I could get the best out of my Sony WH-1000XM4 Bluetooth Headphones!

Have you heard of this problem before @Shanling ?

Hey guys, just discovered something weird, after upgrading to 3.6 the Bluetooth connection became very unstable and connection dropped already when being 1m away from the M0, downgrading to 3.1 fixed it for me.

Tested with Soundpeats Air 3 with different BT profiles: LDAP, aptx, SBC, AAC occurs on all of them.

Same here with HiBy WH2 TWS. On the Shanling website, only 3.6 firmware is available. How can you get 3.5?

Hi all. Can anyone recommend me where i can buy a battery for Shanling m0 player, this current one is dying on me, it last only for 2-3 hours max. When i put my player on charge, the last line keeps on blinking, it will not finish the charging.
I have seen that the one on shenzhenaudio's website is out of stock. I have found one 3.8V 630 mAh on ebay but they do not ship to my country. I need an online store within the EU. Anyone?

Best regards!

If you purchased M0 from official dealer/distributor, you can reach out to them directly. They can order replacement batteries from us alongside their orders.

Just got mine today, and it came with 3.4 FW on it. Not sure if I want to upgrade the FW, as it does everything I need it to (so far). I am thinking that my phone sounds better, but I didn't buy it for the sound quality alone. I bought it more for the convenience than anything else. It doesn't sound bad though. Very nice little device that acts like a Swiss Army Knife.

How about through your Amazon US store (bought mine through Shanling AE store)? I JUST got mine, but reading this thread, the battery probably won't last too long, and I wanted to source the battery now before I really need it. :)

Also, I have noticed that the FW versions are different in sizes (like 3.5 is 80Mb, where 3.6 is only 30Mb). If I am on 3.4, do I need to install 3.5, before installing 3.6?
